Magnificat & Nunc Dimittis is a setting of the evening canticles for three-part unaccompanied choir (alto, tenor, bass), composed in 1995 for Bill Ives and the Choir of Magdalen College, Oxford.
The work has been performed regularly by the Choir of Magdalen College, including on tour to Japan, and has been taken into the repertoire of several cathedral choirs, including Wells Cathedral, St Paul’s Cathedral, London, and St Mary’s Cathedral, Edinburgh.
Magnificat & Nunc Dimittis was first performed by the Choir of Magdalen College, Oxford, directed by Bill Ives, 1995.
