Last few days of my 2017 sound installation, Chit-chat, at Science Gallery, Dublin. The Sound Check exhibition closes on 24th September. Chit-chat is the third work in my ongoing series of bird-box installations, following An Audience with the Trees (2005) and Bird Quartet (2009).
Francesca Heathorn‘s exhibition of oil paintings of rural Norfolk opens this weekend at Yallop’s Gallery, Norwich. I’ve created an accompanying sound installation based on field recordings made at sites depicted in the paintings. The show is open 11am-4pm, 15-16 August, 2015. Here’s a preview of one of the sound works:

Here’s a recording from 2014 of a live performance-improv/duo with Natasha Lohan, vocal artist and composer.
Two performers move around a bespoke performance space. Each performer’s voice is recorded and processed using the electronic music software, MaxMSP. Meanwhile, their physical movements are captured by a Kinect camera and used to control the sound processing.
